I know this is many months late, but as the Formula 1 is finally back on our screens again this weekend (and is it just me or has it been the longest winter break ever), I decided to finally put up my fashion report of the F1 WAGs for the second half of the season last year.
I myself am a huge F1 fan, but it’s the fashions of the wives and girlfriends that can be really interesting.
So here it is, a race by race guide of the best fashion of the latter part of the 2010 season (I’m sure you're all glad to hear that I have decided to do the fashion round-up per race this season).
German Grand Prix – Hockenheim
The rain-soaked weekend didn’t stop the wives from turning out in great style.
I’m a big fan of maxi dresses, as Isabel Reis (Timo Glock’s girlfriend) apparently is, and I love the way she has pulled on a draped front cardigan with hers. Not only are they fashionable but extremely handy at races like this when the weather can suddenly change.

I love Winter Kate and in particular, their draped front cardigans.
This one would look great over a simple white maxi. For the full bohemian look, try teaming with a plaited headband and gold bangles, a la Nicole Ritchie herself.
The German GP also saw the F1 ladies all sporting one trend in particular, the classic brown leather biker jacket.
Buy into this classic trend yourself, with this cute take on the design by US fashion house Juicy Couture.
Juicy Couture tiered leather jacket, £600
This jacket looks amazing paired with demin (as the ladies perfectly demonstrated), so snap up the jacket and pull it on with your finest skinny jeans and a classic white tee for a chic look that is timeless and effortless.
Hungarian Grand Prix – Hungaroring
The last race before the summer break saw the drivers and their partners head off to Budapest for the weekend.
The race also saw the reunion (although they were only briefly apart) of McLaren’s Jenson Button and his girlfriend, Jessica Michibata.
The warm summer weather meant that pretty little summer dress took over the grid.
Jessica opts of a simple (and figure-hugging) white tank dress
Isabel opted for pretty white lace

Isabel in a floral eco-friendly H+M dress
White cotton sundresses are everywhere with season, and I would pair mine with a white cotton tassel scarf (a must-have accessory this summer) and a killer pair of flat sandals.

Anna Sui lace mini dress, £230 (via net-a-porter)
For a completely bohemian feel to this outfit, why not team it with this gorgeous Eugenia Kim brown felt hat.

Also spotted at the Hungarian GP was Raquel del Rosario, Fernando Alonso’s wife, with her gorgeous sunshine yellow Chanel handbag.
I have serious bag envy!!!
However I guess I just have to settle for coordinating my dresses with yellow nails instead. OPI’s yellow polish, The It Colour, from their Brights collection is perfect, and available off of Asos right now.
Belgian Grand Prix – Spa
The first race after hideously long 4 week break also saw the return of the rain.
Jessica, who took shelter under a McLaren waterproof jacket for most of the weekend, kept her trusty Hunters handy in the dismal weather.
I love this outfit of Jessica’s, and it is my favourite of the weekend.
The pairing of the jumper dress with Hunter wellies leads for an effortlessly chic outfit, that is practical for the weather. I adore my Hunters – perfect for a typical UK winter. If you don’t have a pair, you have to invest in some today!

Italian Grand Prix – Monza
The Italian Grand Prix marked the end of the European races, and the rise of the Ferraris.
It was stylish outfits all around for the girls, which was fitting considering the proximity to Milan.
Jessica shows everyone how it’s done, in a simple jersey dress paired with wedges and a chunky knit
I’m loving this stylish and handy pink pashima that Jessica sported throughout the race weekend. Have to get my hands on one!
Isabel was another winner during the weekend, with this cute white sundress and brown leather accesories.
Loving the demin bag – looks Vuitton but is apparently a no-brand bag!!!
Also out, and looking fab, at the Italian GP was Elisabetta Gregoraci.
This outfit, of a silk blouse, straight leg jeans and wedges, is effortlessly chic and so easy to replicate for yourself.

Singapore Grand Prix – Marina Bay
Next up was the legendary Singapore night race, set under the beautiful lights of the cosmopolitan city.
The glamour of this particular event always leads to many celebrities turning up, and several of the partners were there too, and below are the best outfits from the weekend.
A winning outfit from Jessica. Floaty chiffon floral top? Check! Pale skinny jeans? Check! Gorgeous Balenciaga bag? Check!
Bernie Ecclestone’s girlfriend, Fabiana, looks great in the Singapore heat in this nude silk blouse, white jeans and chic platform pumps outfit. She even had a to-die-for brown Miu Miu bag as an accessory.
Replicate the look with this season’s must-have accessory, an Equipment silk shirt.
Equipment nude signature silk-washed shirt, £210
Japanese GP – Suzuka
Jessica stole the show at her home GP, setting the style barrier high with some seriously cool looks.
Jessica teams an open plaid shirt, with a loose-fit tank and short demin shorts, and her staple for the weekend, a floppy hat
Jessica, in a classic striped jumper, teamed with demin and flats, and a cool leather backpack
Jessica looks great in this little black skirt teamed with a classic white tee (shame about the bright pink bra though), with a cute little black fur coat. Loving the Wayfarers too!!!
Another winning outfit from the weekend came from Raquel del Rosario, who reappeared at this GP, in a military-inspired outfit that ticked all the boxes.
Raquel in a striped tee, paired with a tough military jacket, ripped jeans and ankle boots
And finally, Nico Rosberg’s girlfriend, added a more bohemian feel to the event, in this cute outfit, complete with a kaftan style blouse and embellished waistcoat.
Korean GP – Yeongam
The penultimate weekend in October marked the inaugural Korean GP, full of drama and rain.
Very little of the girlfriends turned up for the weekend, however Miss Michibata put in a fashionable show for us once again.
The 26 year old, who celebrated her birthday that weekend, rocked a popular Wildfox Couture jumper, paired with leggings and flats, to the circuit.
Brazilian GP – Interlagos
Once again, the Brazilian GP marked a lot of events on circuit but little paddock side. The only partners there that weekend were the Brazilians, but they held up the fashion front for the others.
Rafeala, wife of Ferrari’s Felipe Massa, chose a preppy striped t-shirt and demin skirt for the race, whilst Silvana, wife of Rubens Barrichello, choose a chic loose-fit nude tank and white skinny jeans
Abu Dhabi GP – Yas Marina
And finally, back in November last year, Abu Dhabi marked the end of a long race season.
Most of partners turned out to support their men, putting on a fashionable show for us.
Here are the best outfits of the weekend.
Jessica in an embellished black kaftan top and demin shorts
Francesca, Liuzzi’s wife, looks lovely in this simple red maxi skirt
I adore this cardigan that Jessica wore during the race weekend, although I would wear it with jeans, as it does look like she is naked except for the cardigan
Nicole looks great in this embellished sundress, perfect for the dusk race, as you take a dress like this from day to night so easily, with the change of a few accessories
I hope you enjoyed, and stay tuned for updates!
