Giles Deacon is a wonderful British designer that we should all be proud of. He is best known for his playful, colourful designs and most recently, his collection for New Look, bringing a touch of high fashion to the high street.
And this season, for Spring Summer 2011, Giles turned heads again when he decided to turn his back on a catwalk staple, the size zero models, and instead put more curvy models on the runway, proving that size zero isn’t the only figure that looks good.
Famous faces including Kelly Brook, pregnant model and WAG Abbey Clancy and Amber Le Bon, daughter of Duran Duran singer, Simon Le Bon.

So with New Year’s Eve later this week, here are my favourite pieces from his New Look collection – hopefully you can catch a bargain for that special night!

I adore this flared skirt dress – a cute party dress with a flattering shape.

A very Lanvin inspired outfit. Dress up the look with some sleek silver accessories – a simple oversized clutch and heels – but make sure to not draw attention away from dress.

And finally for a more refined Christmas look, try this v-neck tulip dress. To keep this dress on-trend this winter, add a soft leather (or even velvet) jacket, with a waterfall front, and some ankle boots.
