Fashion News: Fendi Goes Korean

Fendi, the Italian fashion brand, is to stage a high profile fashion show in Seoul, South Korea, on Thursday, where it had planned to showcase 20 fur pieces. However, after animal rights groups warned of mass rallies, Seoul City officials told Fendi to loose the fur, or face a ban.

However, today Seoul’s officials backed down, saying that Fendi was allowed to feature fur pieces, since it promised to feature fewer of them.

The change came after Fendi claimed it had spent months planning and only had a fewer days to completely re-write their show.

The show is be held in the capital as part of a series of events to launch a new cultural centre built on floating islands on Seoul’s Han river.

Here are some of our favourite AW11 pieces, which we are hoping to see on their catwalk this week.

Oversized parkas, big furs, floor-sweeping maxis – all of which we’re hoping to see on the catwalk this week
