As reported on Instyle’s website earlier this month, honeysuckle – the beautiful, eye-catching jewel-tone pink – has been named the colour of the year for 2011 by the Pantone Colour Institute.
Honeysuckle was named the colour of the year as this captivating, beautiful shade is the perfect way to ward off the blues – perfect with the current economic situation.
Several celebrities have already shown just how amazing honeysuckle is as a colour.
Julianne Moore stuns in a honeysuckle pink silk Lanvin blouse, which she wore to the photocall for her new movie, The Kids are all Right, at the 2010 Rome Film Festival
Gwyneth Paltrow in a honeysuckle Prada dress at The National Movie Awards 2010 in London earlier this year
Kate Bosworth wows in a stunning honeysuckle Valentino gown at the Vanity Fair Oscar party
Rachel Bilson looks demure in a honeysuckle Dior dress at the Dior fashion show during Paris fashion week
Blake Lively chose honeysuckle for the launch of Vertu’s smartphone in New York back in October
Whilst previous colour predictions may not have been very correct (the colour of 2010 was supposed to be turquoise), I can definitely see this trend taking off.
