Royal Style Finder: Princess Beatrice

Kate Middleton wasn’t the only one who showed off her style skills at her wedding on Friday.

Princess Beatrice, the 5th in line to the throne, also showed off her fashion credentials at the biggest event of the season.

On the Thursday night, prior to the wedding, Beatrice stole the show in a sequin fishtail dress by one of my favourite designers, Australian Rachel Gilbert, at the Queen’s pre-wedding gala dinner at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Knightsbridge, London.

I love Rachel’s dresses, and here are few of my favourites from net-a-porter at the moment.

Rachel Gilbert Zaza black sequinned silk and tulle one-shoulder dress, £980

This dress is the same one that Beatrice wore, only in black, making it ready for any black-tie event in your future.

Rachel Gilbert embellished silk-chiffon dress, £1,015

Available in either white or this on-trend peach colour, this dress – new to the website – is perfect for a summer party.

Rachel Gilbert Ava tiered dress, £1,173

This gorgeous dress – available in white or black – could be worn for your big day this summer or to wow the crowds at a black tie-event.

Either way, I love it!

On Friday for the main event, Beatrice sported a stylish nude Valentino Haute Couture look but the outfit was let down by the strange Phillip Treacy hat on her head

The outfit is from the Haute Couture SS11 show, a truly beautiful show.

For the evening event on Friday, Beatrice finally sported a British designer, in the form of this stunning purple Marchesa Resort ‘11 dress, which sadly, had already been worn by Kim Kardashian to the SAG awards in LA earlier this year.

You can buy the dress for yourself now, from net-a-porter USA, or invest in one of these other gorgeous Marchesa gowns,
